This is a live recording of the speech, in Hindi / Urdu and English, given to a group of participants of a one day programme at Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, organized for the volunteers of Nandi Foundation.
The Power Point presentation, which is generally used at the Vivekananda Institute was used this time also.
Becoming Better, aims at motivating people, irrespective of their age, stage, status, gender etc., to commit themselves to all round improvement, in all aspects and in respect of the multiple roles they are playing or are expected to play in their later life. Unless people get motivated, we cannot hope to have inspired and contributing citizens.
You would be better able to appreciate the beauty and the purpose of the presentation when both the audio version, uploaded to www.archive.org [please search for Prof. V. Viswanadham], and the relevant power point presentation that can be viewed at www.scribd.com [please search for Viswam.vangapally4581] and / or www.slideshare.net/viswanadham and taken together as a package.
Each time the presentation is made, as a teacher, I ensure that right from the introduction to the development of the theme, it is done differently, the examples are appropriate to the audience, the language style, and the mixture of local language, some times with local accent, â an attempt is made to create a unique blend. This is being mentioned, so as to make it clear that you may not feel bored or disinterested, and by listening to two or more lectures on the same topic, presented before different audiences, at various places, you may actually obtain a better insight into the scope of the topic.
It is humbly suggested that you may please use the power point presentations, freely. Please feel free to refer to these websites to your friends and motivate them to become better, continuously. Please help me to spread the motivating message to as many people as possible.
Your feedback will be highly appreciated.

20091121 Becoming Better â School Children, Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad.
A half-day programme was arranged for the School Children of various schools, numbering about 1,000, hailing from different schools of the twin cities. The programme started with the introductory words from Mr. Dhananjay Deshpande, Trainer and Yoga Teacher of the Vivekananda Institute. Then the session, titled Becoming Better was handled by Prof. V. Viswanadham.
This is a live recording of the speech, in English, with a sprinkling of Telugu / Hindi, to drive home a particular point.
Normally, I am in the habit of using a power point presentation, but this day, for technical reasons, the LCD slide projector could not be used. Further, keeping in view the large number of children present, the board could not be used. Thus, except the voice, I had no other technically advanced facility to impress something on the young children. Further, the time was limited. Thus, all the constraints combinedly influenced my presentation.
